Clinical Information

35 year old male. Fork-lift truck fell on the right side of his abdomen.

Question

Describe the injuries present.

Diagnosis

Rupture of the left hemidiaphragm with herniation of the fundus of the stomach into the thorax.

Rupture of the right anterior abdominal wall muscles with hernia.

Fractures of the right 8th 9th 10th ribs with lung contusion.
